Over the past few weeks, we got to know the BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Housemates Top 9; Angel, Cross, Emmanuel, Liquorose, Nini, Pere, Queen, Saga and Whitemoney, pretty well. We've been glued to our screens trying to figure their personalities. We recently opened the floor to you #BBNaija faithful and asked you to Nominate your faves for our special awards. Here's who you picked.
Cruise Captain
From jumping ships, to being dubbed 'King of Cruise' by Cross, Angel is the winner of the Cruise Captain category. We guess love and shipping isn’t always the ultimate end goal, but when it comes to living in the moment, we are here for this Cruise Mistress.
Most free-spirited
The most free-spirited Housemate was one with an easy-going personality, possibly a vibe that cuts across the House and probably a relaxed approach to life – and in accordance with your Votes, Cross is the winner of this category. We believe his approach to life in Biggie’s House gave us a lot of entertainment and we love how easy-going he was with his fellow Housemates. Cross Da Boss definitely gave us some of the most memorable encounters of the season.
Ship King
While it was a close call for Emmanuel, we are excited to present to you the Ship King of the season. His ship with Liquorose was one of the last standing ships that made it to the Finale. Our most memorable moment from this ship is from Liquorose’s Secret Task that earned the pair a romantic dinner date in the Executive Lounge. Congratulations Emmanuel! You have been crowned the Ship King of Shine Ya Eye.
Best Dancer
Every time Boomplay Music dropped a few bars be it to wake up the Housemates on an ordinary day, to the Jacuzzi Party or the Party Room on a Saturday Night, this Housemate made sure to turn it into her personal dance floor. The winner of this category is *drum roll * Liquorose! While she didn’t get to teach Emmanuel how to move like her, we know if this ship makes it outside the BBNaija House, we may be seeing a lot of a 'couple goals' videos from the two. We wonder if they’ll create viral choreography for us. Let's wait and see.
Foodie in the House
Her energy around the House somewhat matches the amount of food she consumed around the House. Congratulations to Nini for bagging the Foodie in the House Award. Her hyper personality surely accounts for the way she loved her food. However, we wonder what comes first for her; Saga or the food? Hmm…🤔
President drinker
He loves his drinks and you dubbed him the booze connoisseur of the House. Congratulations Pere for winning President Drinker of Shine Ya Eye. While we are shocked by the win in this category, we are not so surprised given the series of events after the Double Jeopardy Game. When Pere entered Biggie’s House again, he presented Whitemoney with his secret stash of alcohol. Well, it’s safe to say that the Housemates enjoyed a few drinks for the rest of the week thanks to Pere, who proved he was the real plug for good times.
Most Stylish
This Shine Ya Eye lady has made show-stopping fashion statements from her bold and daring hairstyles to her elegant and extravagant dresses. She is the style icon we all loved and Liquorose agrees with you. Congratulations Queen for bagging a gong in the Most Stylish Housemate category. What sets Queen apart is that it can be an ordinary day in the House, but Queen will always find a way to remain stylish and extravagant in her beautiful hairpiece, bomb lipstick and a body-hugging dress that accentuates her figure. We are here for all of it.
Most loving
Congratulations to Saga for landing the Most Loving Award. While he was inseparable with Nini, we came to love the way he cared for her. Well, whatever their “friendship” was like when Nini disappeared from the House, we saw how he unravelled without her. It may seem as though his love for Nini outweighed a lot of things in the House. We hope that he’s surviving alright outside Biggie’s House.
Funniest Housemate
We love friends that can always crack a few jokes to lighten the mood, but with Whitemoney, we had it all; from the random jingles to the funny stories. Congratulations Mazi for winning this award. We loved every moment you made us laugh and kept us entertained.
We did it Joe! We have wrapped up all the fun awards you have given your Top 9 Housemates and we are glad you enjoyed journeying this Season with all of us. Keep safe and stay shining ya eye.
