Nigerian Idol

On Sunday, the Top 3 gave us amazing performances back-to-back and they will be on stage again this coming Sunday to give us more outstanding performances. This time they will be giving us three times the fun with a selection of the Judges' Choice, Contestant’s Choice, and a rendition of certain songs how they should have been.

Judges Choice
The Judges have selected certain songs that they believe the Top 3 performed exceptionally well and they will be bringing the magic again this Sunday. Check out the songs below.

Precious Mac: From This Moment by Shania Twain
The Judges chose Precious Mac’s performance of Shania Twain’s From This Moment as one of her outstanding performances therefore she will be performing this again on Sunday. From this moment was written by Shania Twain and RobertJohn ‘Mutt’ Lange for her third studio album Come On Over

Quest: Damages by Tems
Quest’s performance of Damages by Tems apparently resonated with the Judges because they decided that she would be bringing this beautiful musical piece to life on the stage once more, Damages was released in 2020 as the only single from her 2020 EP For Broken Ears.

Victory: Redeemer Lives by Nicole Mullen
Victory’s family didn’t know they would be selecting a Judge’s favourite when they picked Nicole Mullen’s Redeemer Lives for him to perform a few weeks back. Well, the Judges apparently loved his performance then and expect him to do more with it this coming Sunday. Redeemer Lives was written by Nicole Mullen and was released as part of her self-titled album.

Contestant’s Choice
The Contestants also made their pick of performances they would want to recreate with a different twist of course. Take a look at them below.

Precious Mac: Overloading by Mavin All Stars
Precious Mac will be giving us a taste of the Mavin hit Overloading once more on Sunday. The mega-hit was released by Mavin as part of the album Chapter X to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

Quest: Paradise Road by Joy
It’s the path of Joy once more for Quest who will be recreating her performance of Paradise Road by South African group Joy. Written by Patric van Blerk and Fransua Roos in 1979, the song became an unofficial anthem in South Africa because the lyrics resonated with the country at the time.

Victory: As It Was by Harry Styles
Victory will be bringing back that famous jerk as he will be performing Harry Styles’ As it Was once more on the Live Show. The song which was written by Harry Styles,  Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson was released as the lead single from Harry’s third studio album Harry’s House.

How it should have been
