While she loves her children and husband, Ucheoma can be vain but self-sacrificing.  When her children were little, Ucheoma stopped taking tailoring classes to take up teaching so she could be fully active while nurturing and raising her children academically.

She is very keen on Ogechi getting married to Chike because she believes it is essential to get married on time, but Ucheoma really just wants to have grandkids.
