News
26 September 2020
From funny to completely ridiculous, these quotes made it to the Lockdown hall of slangs. Are you taking notes?

We decided to dig into the cloud for the Lockdown quotes that have made a statement this Season. However, some of these quotes will certainly make you feel better that you’re not the one who said these things on national TV. Do any words come to mind? Let’s have a look at some of them:

“You are Mr. Nigeria, me too, I’m Tolanibaj!”

Yup! She said what she said and we couldn’t help but admire her confidence when Tolanibaj reminded Prince that she’s a spec. Remember her famous words, “emi gan spec”? Well, there you have it, when you need to remind bae that you’re a catch, these words will sure come in handy.

“It is what it is” – Tochi

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, but you see when life gives you some gbas gbos, just say these words out loud “It is what it is” and move on. It doesn’t only help you tone down the disappointment or stress ahead, it also prepares you for whatever awaits you. Even during his Eviction, Tochi muttered his famous words and took a bow from the Lockdown game. Like a boss.

“Tranquility, tranquility!” - Trikytee

We doubt the word ‘tranquility’ will leave our minds so soon, especially because Trikytee said it over a hundred times during this particular Wager Task. First, he got us in the “if I hear this word one more time” mood and in just a split second, Twitter found it exciting as he continuously used the words when the teams were making noise during the Task. So what do you say to your landlord when he’s constantly demanding his rent? Tranquility! (P.s you didn’t get this advice from us o, you’re O.Y.O).

“I have no facilities for this” - Dorathy

What do you say to the god of stress every day? Tell it, “I have no facilities for this”. Trust us, it works. Well, it has worked in the Lockdown House for Dorathy whenever she’s asked to do something that she has no interest in, or she thinks she can’t handle. This is one of our favourites in the books.

“It was a pleasure” – Lucy

Her exit was one for the books and while every other Eviction had the BBNaija fans emotional, this one had us shook. The moment Lucy was announced as the next Evicted Housemate, she confidently walked out the House and while rejecting their hugs, she said, “It was a pleasure” and gave them the peace sign with her fingers. To be fair, why hug the same people that put you out of the game, right? E for energy abeg! Oh, by the way, Lucy, we still need a shirt with these words, it’s such a mood.

“With my full chest” – Dorathy

Clearly, Dorathy has given us enough words to last the whole season and beyond and we’re loving it. Remember that epic moment when Biggie asked her if she wanted the Deputy HoH role after Ozo selected her? She happily shouted, “With my full chest!” Such a mood.

What has been your favourite phrase from the Housemates this Season? Are we missing anyone?
