Unaware of his family’s dark history, Deji dismissed the rumors he had heard until tragedy struck. Toyin, who was carrying Deji’s child, tragically lost the pregnancy, mirroring the fate of other women linked to the Akanni men. Distraught, Deji confronted his father, Ifakile, who confessed to the long-standing curse. When Deji shared the truth with Toyin, she was devastated and chose to walk away.
Deji Fights for Love
Determined to win Toyin back, Deji joined forces with Ifakile and his uncle Mobolaji to find a solution. Their journey led them back to Onoja, the family’s native doctor, who revealed a grim remedy: all Akanni men must end their romantic relationships and endure the curse for 16 years before it can be lifted. A furious Deji refused to accept this fate. He demanded that Onoja find another way, insisting that no woman, especially Toyin, would wait that long.
Onoja calls for a meeting
Following the heated confrontation, Onoja called a meeting to share the dark origins of the Akanni family curse. However, he was still unable to provide a clear solution to their problem. Will Deji find a way to break the curse, or will he have to let Toyin go forever?
