When greed and the thirst for power consume a man, there's no limit to the lengths he’ll go. For Chief Alewo, his daughters aren't just family—they’re pawns in his grand plan to secure and strengthen his grip on power. If that means marrying them off to whoever will help him climb the ladder of influence, so be it. Love and happiness? Not really a priority here.
The Prince who said 'No'... twice
Chief Alewo’s first target for securing power was Prince Ameh. He thought, “What better way to seal my position than to marry off my daughter to royalty?” Seems like a solid plan, right? Well, not exactly. Prince Ameh wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of marrying Alewo's daughter. But, alas, Chief Alewo wasn’t one to take “no” for an answer. Through some sneaky tricks (think backdoor deals and underhanded tactics), he managed to convince Ameh to agree to the engagement.
However, the real drama hit when his daughter decided she had no intention of marrying a man she didn’t want—hello, runaway bride! In the middle of an Idu warriors' attack on the wedding, she made a swift exit, leaving behind nothing but chaos and a very angry father.

A lost daughter? No problem!
Now, you’d think that losing a daughter like that would be a setback, but Chief Alewo? Nope, nothing is going to stop his power-hungry mission. What’s a man to do when one daughter runs away? Try again with the next one, of course! Chief Alewo decides to offer his second daughter to Prince Ameh again, hoping for a different result. But, once again, Prince Ameh is having none of it. So, what does Alewo do next? He goes for the ultimate gamble—he offers his daughter to the king of the enemy village. You know, the same village that raided his own during the chaos of the wedding? Sure, why not!
Ojoma's heart belongs elsewhere
You’d think this would be the perfect opportunity for Chief Alewo to finally win, right? Wrong. Turns out, his daughter Ojoma has a little something called feelings—and she’s already in love with Samson, the head of the vigilantes. She’s not interested in marrying the king of the enemy village, no matter how much her father pushes. Because, honestly, who wants to marry a king they don’t even know, just to satisfy daddy’s selfish ambitions? Yeah, not so much.
Opposition doesn't scare Chief Alewo... But it should
Chief Alewo isn’t new to opposition. His first daughter fought against marrying Prince Ameh, and even though that didn’t go according to plan, he wasn’t ready to back down. And now, with Ojoma, he’s not backing off either. He’s so determined to marry her off to the Onu of Idu that he’s willing to go to any lengths—even forcefully handing her over to the Idu warriors. Now, that's commitment...to his plans, not his daughter’s happiness. Oh, and don’t forget the lavish wedding he’s envisioning—because why settle for a quiet affair when you can have an extravagant show?
