Tsema was raised by a nobleman in the lowborn Community, a man she only knows as her father, Aso. Despite living her whole life as a low born, she has been raised to walk with her head held high, have integrity and other traits that only high born/Otonolu people teach their children. She is raised to lead the rebellion against the monarchy and the Otonolu and this brings her interests in direct opposition with the man her destiny is tied to and the love of her life – Aghan, son of Otokun.
