Character: Sylvia Stokes – the landlady

Forty year old, Canadian returnee Sylvia Stokes owns the six-apartment block of Yonge Avenue. Sylvia spent many years in Canada working countless small jobs to make money.

She credits her success to discipline and hard work and generally believing in herself. Yonge Avenue is her attempt to introduce to Ghana the more structured Canadian way of living. But she’s in for some real African drama.
