Purp

Anu Agosa (Purp)

At 25, Lagos-born Anu Agosa (Purp) sings from a place where soul meets stage, and every note she delivers carries the weight of a story well told. Raised by a choir-leading mother and nurtured in the rich harmonies of church music, her love for sound took root early, blossoming fully in the world of theatre. A graduate of Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Gladys seamlessly blends her commanding vocals with the emotion and expressive glow of the stage.

From the raspy rift influence of Jazmine Sullivan and Yebba to the smooth depths of Anita Baker, her sound is soulful, sophisticated, and deeply felt. She doesn’t just sing – she interprets, revealing layers of meaning with every run and refrain. Now back in Lagos, she is building a career that bridges the lyrical and the theatrical, determined to inspire and impact through her artistry.

Anu sees Nigerian Idol as more than a competition – it’s a call to collaborate, a stage to share her gift, and a chance to create music that moves hearts.
